"My name is Lisa Laba Sarkis, and my qualifications are a Bachelor of Social Science Majoring in Applied Psychology Counselling and a Bachelor of Social Work. I am a Member of the Australian Association of Social Workers (MAASW).
I am based in Sydney and work in private practice and the services I provide are Face to Face Counselling,Telephone Counselling, Online Counselling, Assessments, Reports etc.
My model for working is a combined approach including: Humanistic, Person-Centred and CBT including: CBT exercises/homework/psychoeducation and the psychodynamic approach.
I work in private practice including: face to face counselling, telephone counselling and also provide online counselling for clients via Skype program. I mainly use Skype as a platform for online counselling appointments. I provide text based counselling, video based, audio based via Skype for online counselling appointments.
I work with a number of issues both in face to face counselling private practice and online counselling including: Immigration issues, Migrant & Refugee Issues, Family Issues, Relationship Issues, Eating Disorders, Sexual Abuse, Long Term Sexual Abuse, Domestic Violence, Sexuality, Trauma, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Depression, Anxiety, Grief and Loss Issues, Addiction, Stress, Expat etc.
I have supported clients with immigration issues and concerns regarding the following:
Relationship and marriage issues, domestic violence issues, refugees issues, carer support cases, student support cases, families and children issues, trauma related issues and in general issues and concerns relating to immigration for the client including couple counselling for issues of immigration and concerns.
I have been working as a counsellor in private practice since 2006 and I was wondering if you come across any clients who may feel comfortable in having counselling that you could have my contact handy and likewise if I have a client that would be interested in your services I could refer those clients to you and I will be happy to add your contacts to my referral list for referral.
